What is DAF in UPSC interview?
1. Candidates who have been declared qualified in the written part of the Examinations have to first get themselves registered before filling up the Online Detailed Application Form (DAF) at the website www.upsc.gov.in.
What is full form of DAF?
DAF, which stands for Detailed Application Form, is a very crucial document, and it defines everything from the career of a candidate to their posting. Hence, it is advised to all the candidates to take extra care while filling the DAF.
What documents are required for UPSC exam?
A scanned photograph of yourself. A scanned signature of yourself. Government-issued Photo-id card. Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government.
Can I write GS paper in Hindi and optional in English?
Yes! Now UPSC provides options to write GS and Optional papers in different mediums (Since 2018). If you choose to write GS and Essay papers in Hindi and Optional Paper in English you can do so.
Can you get rejected in UPSC interview?
If the candidate’s total marks (Mains + Interview) is above the cut-off mark fixed by UPSC, then he/she gets the chance to get into the final merit list. If the total marks do not cross the cut-off marks, then the candidate is considered failed in UPSC Interview.
How to fill preference in UPSC?
The candidate will be offered services according to the order of preferences mentioned. Though the order of preferences can be changed by selecting any lower option from the preference list but will not be allowed to select any higher option. The list of preferences is to be filled in Detailed Application Form (DAF).
Can we edit UPSC form?
There is no editing facility in the application. In case of any mistake in filling application, the candidate is responsible. However, a fresh application may be made for correction of an earlier mistake.
What is DAF 2 in UPSC?
All the candidates who qualify for Personality Test/Interview on the basis of Result of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2022 are required to submit their Order of Preferences for Participating Services through an online Detailed Application Form (DAF) -II.
Can I wear jeans in UPSC interview?
Men should preferably have short hair. This is a matter of personal choice but it might not project a professional image if you have long hair. Avoid expensive and flashy jewellery. Don’t go in party wear or casual wear like jeans and T-shirts.
Is weight required for IAS?
There is no height, weight and chest girth minimum requirement as such for candidates for the IAS, unlike the technical services. However, if the candidates’ measurements are disproportionate as regarded by the medical board, the candidates can be hospitalized for investigation and chest X-ray can be taken.
