How can I upload my photo in UPSC?
Each of the scanned images of the photograph/ signature should not exceed 40 KB in size (for photograph, the pixel size is 140 pixels height x 110 pixels width and for signature it should be 110 pixels height x140 pixels width). Also, please ensure that the uploaded photograph and signature are clearly discernible.

Can I wear jeans in UPSC interview?
Men should preferably have short hair. This is a matter of personal choice but it might not project a professional image if you have long hair. Avoid expensive and flashy jewellery. Don’t go in party wear or casual wear like jeans and T-shirts.
Can IAS wear tattoos?
Wearing a tattoo doesn’t restrict you to appear for UPSC civil services. IAS aspirants and civil service aspirants can definitely have a tattoo on their body parts except for the face, finger, forearm, and other parts, which are generally visible.
Can UPSC form be rejected?
Appeal against such rejection should be received in the Commission’s Office latest by 21-03-2022. (ii) Copy of the debit/credit card statement or Bank account statement as the case may be, in case the fees has been paid through debit/ credit card or through internet banking of authorized banks.
How do UPSC verify documents?
UPSC will send information to the police station of your area to enquire and give a certificate. The police will verify the facts and submit the report.
Can UPSC reject application?
These applicants are required to submit the proof within the timeframe given in the email either by hand or by speed post to the Commission. In case, no response is received from the applicants, their applications are summarily rejected and no further correspondence is entertained in this regard.
Can IAS wear short dresses?
There is no specific standard for IAS officers, they just need to wear formal clothing on official occasions, but IPS needs to wear their authorised uniform on a daily basis.
Can a person fail in IAS interview?
If the candidate’s total marks (Mains + Interview) is above the cut-off mark fixed by UPSC, then he/she gets the chance to get into the final merit list. If the total marks do not cross the cut-off marks, then the candidate is considered failed in UPSC Interview.
Can IAS officers wear dresses?
Unlike the Indian Police Service (IPS) or defence personnel who are expected to appear in uniform while on duty, there’s no “official” dress code for IAS officers.
