Can you choose your IIT?

Answer. No it is not compulsory to opt only your home state IIT, you have option to choose any IIT, NIT or IIIT or CFTI colleges based on your rank and college cut off. But you can go for the IIT colleges in your state through state quota (which will usually have a less cut off marks).
