 What is search?

Search gives you an option to look for relevant jobs based on your specific requirements. To search for a job, you can use the given search window. You may use the following criteria to look for relevant jobs.

 Keywords

For a keyword search you may enter Designation, Key Skills, or company name of desired job. Keyword search is of the following types:

  • Locations : You may enter Indian cities or international countries, depending upon your preference. The search result will display only those jobs, which are based out of the locations that you have specified.
  • Experience : You may enter the number of years you have worked for. The search result will display all those jobs with the required work experience range matching the one you have specified
  • Functional Area : This will help you find jobs matching your desired job function. This may not be required if you have already entered designation as a keyword.
  • Expected Salary : This field gives you an option to specify the minimum and the maximum limit for the salary that you expect. The jobs matching the salary range that you have entered will be shown first followed by the ones, which do not match the selected salary range.
To refine your search you can use the ‘Refine your Search’ option given towards the left of the search result page. Based on the criteria entered, the search result displays all the jobs matching your requirements. ‘Refine your Search’ option in turn categorizes the results based on the criteria you have provided. It streamlines the job results into four broad categories:
  • Jobs based on the industry type.
  • Role required to be performed.
Once you have saved a job for future reference, it will stay on your account till the time it is live on the site. It is based on the recruiter's discretion or the time till that particular job vacancy is open.
Yes, you have an option to apply for more than one job at a time. Using the Multiple apply option, you can send your responses for the selected job vacancies simultaneously to the recruiters. Also, you have a daily quota of applying for up to 50 job vacancies.
Yes, you have an option of reapplying for a job opening once your existing job application status has a response (negative). Reapplication can be done only after 3 months of first application.
In case of a successful job application, you will be informed of the same through the confirmation mail sent by us directly to your inbox.
Once you have successfully applied for a particular job vacancy, any future correspondence towards the same lies solely at the discretion of the company for which you have applied for the job.

Next Job does not track your personal activities outside of the Next Job network unless you click on a Next Job advertisement on another site. If you do, we will keep track of the ad you saw and the site where it was displayed.

When you create (or upload) a resume on Next Job, you’ll choose a resume visibility status, which determines who can view your resume. You have three choices.

  • If you choose a resume visibility status of Visible, users with access to our resume database will be able to view your resume, match you to specific jobs, and contact you.
  • If you choose Limited, users with access to our resume database will be able to view your resume, match you to specific jobs, and contact you. However, they will not see your name, your contact information, your current employer, or your references.
  • If you apply for a job directly to a company via a Next Job job posting, the information you've marked as limited will be visible to facilitate contact with you.
  • If you choose Private, your resume will not be visible. However, you may still use your private resume to apply for jobs.
What does Next Job do with my account information?

We use your account information to help you create your resume, build a professional network, match you to job opportunities or professional connections, provide personalized career advice, and show you targeted advertising. Your account information also lets you see recommended jobs based on your interests and compare your career progress with others in your profession.

Who can view my Next Job account information?

Your visibility status determines who can view your Next Job account information. Your Next Job account information is not your resume so you’ll need to choose a visibility status independently of your resume visibility status. The following options are available:

  • With a Limited visibility status, Next Job users and others on the web may view your account information, but your contact information is only visible to Next Job users in your network.
  • If you make your status Visible, Next Job users and others on the web may view your account information, including your contact information.
  • With a Private status, you will also not be discoverable from any network lists (e.g. Job Search Results, Company Profiles). If you have an existing network, you will no longer appear as a connection to existing connections.
  • You may also create a Custom visibility status by choosing to share only certain sections of your account, rather than your whole account. You may choose your visibility preference for the following sections of your account:
    • Contact Information
    • Professional Overview
    • Experience
    • Education
    • Certifications
    • Skills
    • Memberships & Awards
    • Interests

These account sections may be shared with everyone, 1st degree connections, 2nd degree connection, or no one. To learn more about Next Job connections, click here.

If you would like to stop hearing from a particular employer, you will need to ask that employer directly to stop contacting you. We only serve as a forum for employers to contact you and are not responsible for managing their contact with you.

Next Job does not respond to requests asking for confirmation if an individual has a resume on Next Job. However, Visible resumes can be viewed by anyone with access to our resume database and employers may be able to locate your resume.

If you delete a resume, it will be permanently deleted from Next Job’s production database and will be irretrievable. Next Job is not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances. We will still keep any other information you may have given to us unless you delete your account.

When you apply to a job through Next Job, your resume and application information are sent to the employer that posted the job. If you created a resume while applying to this job, we will save a copy of that resume in our database for your convenience.

Employers receive your application information via email and also within their applicant tracking folders on Next Job. Next Job will send you a message to let you know that your application was sent successfully. The employer may separately choose to send you a message confirming receipt of your application. Some employers and recruiters may not respond immediately to your application. After you apply for a job, your complete application will be listed on your apply history page where you can track its status.

Employers can contact you by sending you a letter electronically through Next Job portal.

Employers may use your application information for a variety of recruitment and hiring purposes. They may use it to contact you about the status of your application. Employers may also enter your information into their own database to track the application and hiring process, and may use your application information to perform a background check.
